Senior AI Designer (Narrative)
Responsible for prototyping new social NPC behaviours and smart objects to create dynamic and interesting characters for players to experience.
Ensure consistency of the game’s narrative voice and execution on creative vision throughout production, from initial concept and foundational development, character development, important narrative milestones, through to final polish.
Use technical proficiency in the game engine to ensure all assets are implemented as intended, meet CIG’s quality bar, and verify teammates in Design and QA meet those standards.
Under the direction of the Narrative Director, act as a champion of story, characters, thematic coherence, and narrative through gameplay across development.
Collaborate with the Mission Design Team in both the design and implementation of narrative content using game tools as well as developing gameplay features that support and convey the story during missions and story elements.
Qualifications and Expectations
Collaborate closely with the Narrative Director to support team coordination, workflow management, and day‑to‑day operations across the narrative department.
Be collaborative and able to take and provide constructive criticism and incorporate notes into revisions.
Experience working with NPC AI Systems, Smart Objects, and Mission Scripting.
Fluency in CryEngine, Lumberyard, Unreal Engine, or AAA‑level game engine. MMO or Sandbox experience is a plus.
