Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 (depending on experience)
Location: London and the Home Counties
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on executing contracts to specification and budget
- Identify and execute opportunities for additional works
- Manage and plan work schedules for colleagues on the contract
- Focus on areas of the contracts that require improved performance
- Attend and act as an ambassador at client events
- Be approachable and respectful to the needs of your staff to minimise conflict
- Communicate effectively and confidently
- Create a positive impression with clients, presenting a professional and respectful attitude
- Focus on the performance of all contract staff and assist in development
- Be respectful of colleagues by giving them the opportunity to discuss their work, problems and aspirations
- Recruiting and selecting contract staff
- Manage any employee relations issues, utilising support from HR
- Creating and managing a contract specific training plan and keeping training records
- Manage the payroll inputting process to ensure timely and accurate payment to staff
- Understand the law relating to Health & Safety and implementing the company’s policy
- Responsible for understanding and implementing risk assessments and COSHH
- Take responsibility for contract depot/office site
- Encourage all colleagues to display integrity: wear the correct corporate clothing, keep vehicles and machinery clean and well maintained and that sites are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Understand the company’s financial procedures
- Responsible for regularly monitoring progress and reviewing cost and expenditure
- Complete end of month financial performance sheets
- Utilise IT across every facet of managing the contract
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
