HR & Payroll Officer – Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR and Payroll Advisor to lead the people and culture function at Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational managers, driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with our brand values.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on all HR matters.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Lead employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management.
• Support payroll processing and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.
• Support learning and development initiatives across the hotel.
• Oversee payroll processes in liaison with finance.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and retention strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Confident managing employee relations cases independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Discreet and professional with the ability to handle confidential information.
