A leading aviation organisation is seeking a highly motivated, career-focused Stores Supervisor to join their growing team. Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day activities of Stores shift operators to ensure effective output
- Plan and manage resource availability to meet operational workload demands
- Accurately receipt and process incoming aircraft parts onto AMOS
- Issue aircraft parts from the Stores counter efficiently
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and enforce compliance across the team
- Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all assets within the Stores facility
- Accurately input and manage data within the Stores system
- Maintain integrity of aircraft components, including labelling and packaging
- Process US returns and manage associated documentation
- Raise and place orders with contractors for aircraft parts
- Manage stock control and inventory levels
- Account for serviceable spares following maintenance activity
- Support continuous improvement and undertake additional duties as required by the Line Manager
Person Specification
Essential
- Proficiency in IT systems including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience within an aviation stores or similar environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices, including manual handling
- Excellent attention to detail with a consistent and accurate approach
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven team leadership experience, including mentoring and managing staff
Desirable
- Knowledge of COSHH and chemical handling
- Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate (valid or recently expired within 30 days)
