Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a rapidly growing business in Leeds city centre looking for a Technical Buyer to join their team.

Overview

As a Technical Buyer, you will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of essential component spares. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement and supply chain teams to optimise costs and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities and supplier negotiations to secure quality, cost-efficient and timely supplies
  • Identify and develop sustainable sources of supply that support the long-term goals of the business
  • Ensure supplier contracts meet quality, cost and regulatory standards, while adhering to all relevant requirements
  • Work closely with engineering teams to manage obsolescence issues and ensure high-quality supplies
  • Analyse supplier performance and implement strategies for improvement to enhance supply chain efficiency
  • Demonstrate experience working within a technical engineering environment (Engineering/Rail/Aerospace/Marine etc)
  • Show strong experience in procurement and supplier management, with a proven track record of successful negotiations
