Healthcare Assistant – Theatre

Woking Hospital | Theatre | Permanent | Full time

Up to £25,545 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Healthcare Assistant in theatre at our hospital, you’ll be highly motivated and enjoy working somewhere that’s constantly and rapidly changing. You’ll show real empathy and find the challenges of theatre work fascinating. As well as great communication skills, you’ll bring a flexible approach to both your duties and hours. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and have relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Create a great experience for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries
  • Have the time you need to care for patients as people
  • Understand people’s individual needs
  • Play a key role in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the theatre team where you will assist with moving patients, theatre preparation, family reassurance, administration tasks
  • Work flexibly to support our team

About the Hospital

Our Woking Hospital is a leading private hospital in Surrey, South East England. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional standards of treatment and care in our state‑of‑the‑art facilities and CPD programme. Our specialities include Women’s and Men’s health, Orthopaedics, and Eye Care with many more available. We are registered for 27 beds with en‑suite facilities on the Ward, two Theatres with facilities including lamina flow and one Minor Operating Theatre, Pre‑Assessment, Physiotherapy clinic, Onsite Pharmacy, Mammography, Xray and Ultrasound, with nine consulting rooms in Outpatients.
