Clinical Support Worker – Outpatient Department

Band 3 Clinical Support Worker roles are now available in the Outpatient Department at Furness General Hospital and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide high quality, compassionate, patient‑focused care within our outpatient services.
Main duties of the job
- Support clinical service delivery under supervision.
- Work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, IT and customer care skills.
- Work both independently and as part of the wider team.
- Previous experience in outpatients is an advantage but not essential.

Person specification
Education
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience at Clinical Support Worker level.
- ECDL or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care environment.
- Manual handling of patients using lifting aids.
- Experience within the designated area.
Skills, ability and knowledge
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and confidentiality.
- Basic IT skills.
- Empathy and caring for people.
- Awareness of the NHS structure and current issues.
