Background
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

The CT scanning department currently has 11 state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, supporting a wide range of referrers, including the level 1 Major Trauma centre, vascular and neuro‑intervention, paediatric, musculo‑skeletal, cardiac and oncology services. We pride ourselves on the breadth of our clinical workload and expertise delivering the full range of CT examinations.
Responsibilities
- Organise CT lists, maintain patient flows in A&E, liaise with wards regarding inpatients, assist radiographers and/or radiologists during CT examinations, cannulate patients and undertake observation checks.
- Work within a busy, well‑organised NHS environment and perform shift work including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Review the radiology information system regularly throughout duty to monitor the CT attendance list, especially with reference to A&E and inpatient referrals.
- Maintain a high‑quality service, demonstrate good clinical understanding, a sound awareness of governance processes, and remain calm and organised even at the busiest times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience working in a busy NHS environment.
- Mathematics and English Level 2.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- IT literacy.
- Proactive, dynamic and keen to fulfil the CT Imaging Department Assistant role.
