SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Rigger for heavy lift and transport projects. Salary £16.07 per hour depending on experience and tickets held. OTE up to £90k per year. Working on Mammoet project site in Nigg with some additional travel required. Your main responsibility will be to work within a multi-disciplined team carrying out rigging, SPMT and jack‑ing/skidding duties. Reporting to the Operations Manager, all positions are permanent. We are open to receiving applications from candidates based throughout the UK, and you may be required to attend our Teesside and/or Hixon depots. These roles are specifically for applicants with their red or blue CPCS and experience working in an onshore rigging environment, and we are looking for candidates who are looking for a fixed‑term contract with Mammoet.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Assemble lifting gear in accordance with rigging plans.
  • Attach loads to crane hooks using lifting equipment including spreader beams, lifting beams and chain hoists, ensuring load balance, security and integrity.
  • Bank the crane using recognised signals to safely direct the load to different types of locations.
  • Perform manual handling activities.
  • Work as part of the jack‑ing/skidding team.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Mammoet equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Valid Red or Blue CPCS card with the relevant categories (e.g. Slinger, Signaller).
  • Previous experience working as a rigger in an onshore environment.
  • SPMT experience desirable.
  • Forklift, MEWP and safety passport tickets desirable.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel and work throughout the UK.
