• Salary: $48.93 per hour (37.5 hours per week)
• Terms of employment: Permanent, full time
• Shift options: Early morning, morning, day, weekend, flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Instruct apprentices
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Work site environment: At heights; confined spaces; noisy; dusty
• Work setting: Construction; various locations; residential
• Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair
• Physical requirements: Bending, crouching, kneeling; handling heavy loads; large workload; physically demanding; tight deadlines
• Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
• Transportation/travel: Own transportation
• Personal suitability: Accurate; judgement; reliability; team player; punctuality
