Job Description:

Marketing and Community Engagement Co‑ordinator

Right at Home Oxford | Oxford + Cotswolds | £25,000 – £27,000 + bonus | Full‑time

Right at Home Oxford has been providing outstanding home care to older people across Oxfordshire since 2019. We want to expand our reach within the community and need a dynamic, people‑oriented professional to help us achieve that goal.

What You’ll Be Doing

Daily tasks will vary – from visiting GP surgeries and community organisations to running events, creating social‑media content and coordinating campaigns.

  • Out‑and‑about outreach: visit GP surgeries, retirement housing schemes, occupational therapists, discharge teams, and community organisations in Oxford to build relationships that bring families to us when they need care.
  • Event management: co‑manage the monthly Sunflower Café, the weekly chair‑based exercise class in Kidlington, and seasonal events for clients and families.
  • Social‑media ownership: create warm, on‑brand content for Facebook and Instagram that showcases what Right at Home Oxford is about.
  • Campaign coordination: manage monthly leaflet drops across Oxford, support the Google Ads agency, brief newsletters, chase reviews, and keep the Care Choices listings updated.
  • Press engagement: pitch features to the Oxford Mail, Oxford Times and local papers on award wins, dementia awareness months and care milestones.
  • Award submissions: assist with entries for the Oxfordshire Care Awards, Great British Care Awards and others, compiling compelling submissions.
  • Expansion to the Cotswolds: from autumn 2026 launch a new territory covering Witney, Chipping Norton and Burford, building presence there.

Who We’re Looking For

We care more about your attitude, energy and drive than a specific CV. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a people person: light up a room, easy to talk to, genuinely enjoys meeting new people and building connections.
  • Be brilliantly organised: juggle multiple campaigns, contacts and events without stress.
  • Value meaningful work: understand the importance of home care for older people.
  • Be digitally comfortable: proficient with Facebook, Instagram, Canva, spreadsheets and Mailchimp.
  • Write with warmth: craft short posts, newsletter intros and press pitches with the right tone.
  • Be a self‑starter: take ownership and get things done without supervision.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence: can travel around Oxfordshire for field duties.

Previous experience in marketing, events, community engagement, healthcare or a customer‑facing role is a plus, but not essential.

The Good Stuff

  • £25,000 – £27,000 depending on experience, plus a performance bonus when we hit growth targets.
  • A brand‑new role to shape your own work and make a real impact.
  • A supportive team that genuinely cares and is outstanding‑rated.
  • Varied daily work: events, social media, community visits, press, digital and print.
  • A clear purpose: every enquiry you generate could help a family find the right care.
  • Flexibility between office and field duties.
  • Mileage paid at the HMRC approved rate for all business travel.
  • Career progression as we expand into the Cotswolds and beyond.
