Overview
In this rewarding role within the SENAR Service, you will lead on statutory processes related to Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, acting as the named officer for a caseload of children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Lead on statutory processes related to Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, acting as the named officer for a caseload of children and young people.
- Ensure that parent carers, children, young people, and professionals are provided with clear and accessible information to support decision-making.
- Produce high-quality EHC Plans that accurately reflect individual needs and set out the provision required to help children and young people achieve their ambitions and outcomes.
- Build shared understanding of processes and outcomes, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and local procedures within required timescales.
- Use expertise in interpreting professional advice and report writing to support informed decision-making at each stage.
- Ensure that the child or young person remains at the heart of all decisions, adopting a person‑centred approach.
