Behaviour Support Assistant – Rochester

Full‑time, available September start; pay £95‑£100 per day, temp‑to‑perm. For primary schools across the Rochester area with a high need in SEN.

Role Overview

Provide behaviour support to children with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis. Work alongside teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies, deliver targeted CPD, and assess student progress.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily with children with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• Manage and support children with needs ranging from ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs.
• Assess students’ progress and discuss development with teachers, parents/carers, and external agencies as required.
• Undertake CPD and be accredited where necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant.
• Holding an L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral or personal setting.
• Experience working with young offenders or in an intervention role is desirable.
• Willingness or possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Right to work in the UK.
