Manufacturing Operator
Location: Perth
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts
Early Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
Late Shift: 1:30pm – 10:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour + 20% shift allowance
The Opportunity
Manpower Scotland is recruiting Manufacturing Operators for a leading manufacturing facility in Perth. This role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced production environment where quality, teamwork, and attention to detail are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing processes.
- Complete production documentation accurately and in line with quality requirements.
- Set up and operate production equipment and conveyor systems.
- Read and interpret work orders to prepare materials and components for production.
- Carry out quality checks on materials, products, and packaging throughout the manufacturing process.
- Fill, label, seal, sort, and package finished products.
- Monitor product weights and quantities, making adjustments where required.
- Support equipment validation activities and production line changeovers.
- Perform line clearance activities, including material reconciliation and disposal.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace organisation.
- Follow all health, safety, quality, GMP, and ISO procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, laboratory, or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Flexible approach to changing priorities and production schedules.
Desirable
- Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and production documentation processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with bending, reaching, lifting, and manual handling tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs (approximately 23kg) on occasion.
- Ability to use hand tools and production equipment safely.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety requirements.
