Junior Master QC Technician – Shifts (UK)

Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Master QC Technician, you’ll be responsible for high-level QC assessment of high-profile content from major OTT clients. You’ll be trained in the operation of all relevant equipment such as DaVinci Resolve, MTI Cortex, Clipster and Pro Tools, and full QC training is provided to enable you to carry out vital checks on all content before it leaves the building.
Main Duties
With thorough training, you will become proficient in:
- High-level QC of feature and episodic video and audio content from high-profile OTT clients
- Creation of QC reports and other associated paperwork
- Use of tools for IMF validation, audio level measurement, Dolby Vision validation, Harding PSE and FPA, and related processes
- Creation of proxies, reference files, and final deliverables for platform
- Archiving of final approved assets
Skills and Attributes
Relevant experience within a QC environment is preferred but not essential, since comprehensive training and full support is provided.
What is essential is a great eye and ear for detail, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude to hard work, and the motivation to grow into a key member of the department. A flexible and proactive approach to deadline management is also critical.
A proven interest in film, TV, or post production is required, and some familiarity with post production processes would be beneficial.
In addition, beneficial experience could include:
- Experience of timeline-based tools such as DaVinci Resolve and Pro Tools
- Knowledge of video and audio formats and standards
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information
- Strong IT literacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The flexibility to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Working Hours and Location
This position is part of a shift rota which includes nights, weekends and public holidays.
The role is on-site at our Soho, London premise.
