About the role

As a Fitness Manager you will support the General Manager in running the gym and deputise in their absence. You will be passionate about fitness and committed to our members, teams and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Drive member engagement and satisfaction through the in‑gym service offering.
  • Line manage and lead a team of fitness trainers, engaging and motivating them to deliver excellent service.
  • Take ownership of the Group Exercise offering by developing the class timetable and upskilling the team.
  • Bring a result‑driven mindset and focus on the commercial performance of the gym.
  • Ensure high operational standards by managing cleaning and maintenance procedures and liaising with third‑party suppliers.
  • Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety policies and complete daily, weekly and monthly checks.
  • Support the General Manager with on‑site admin tasks such as rotas, time tracking and security checks.
  • Act as a keyholder for the gym and be the point of call for emergencies.
  • Perform personal training within the gym during your employed hours, managing your own time and retaining 100 % of your earnings with no annual licence fee.

Qualifications

  • Passion for health, fitness and well‑being.
  • Leadership skills with a hands‑on approach, setting the standard for member experience.
  • Unwavering commitment to understanding member expectations.
  • Ability to work within compliance parameters while delivering high service levels.
  • Proven track record of success and eagerness to bring a winning attitude.
  • Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for the qualification.
