Do you want to be part of a team that makes a real difference to the residents of Northumberland?

Tynedale House is a residential home rated Outstanding by CQC and provides excellent support and care to people with learning disabilities in both residential and respite settings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our catering team as a cook.

Responsibilities

Work in the kitchen to prepare meals for residents, meeting dietary requirements.

Assist in maintaining health and hygiene standards and use catering tools and equipment safely.

Qualifications

  • A basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, and training in manual handling.
  • Relevant experience in a kitchen, including food preparation and cooking.

Additional training and support will be offered to any successful candidate.

Schedule

Shift pattern varies – 7 hour shifts from 8 am to 4 pm (one hour lunch break) on a 2‑week rota.

Week one: Mon, Tues, Sat, SunWeek two: Wed, Thurs, Fri

There are enhancements payable for weekend and bank holiday hours worked.

Salary

Starting salary of £13.26 per hour (£25,583 – £25,989 FTE; £16,940 – £17,208 pro‑rata).
