SEND Teaching Assistant

Clockwork Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant for a lovely school in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. This role is to work with small groups of children, some one-to-one work and support those with a wide range of SEND’s. The school are looking for someone to start ASAP and the role will be ongoing with a view to become permanent.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with a wide range of SEND’s such as ASD, ADHD and very challenging behaviour
• Supporting the children through all lessons and encouraging them to stay on task
• Ability to use own initiative and to change lesson plan when needed

Requirements

• Level 2 qualification as a teaching assistant
• The ability to provide 2 x educational based references (preferably)
• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• A keen interest in working with and supporting children with SEND
