Chatham, United Kingdom | Posted on 01/06/2026

Young Giants is a specialist AP tuition service, operating in term-time. We believe that every child, if given the right support, can thrive academically and reach their full potential. That’s why we never refuse a referral, no matter how complex the case.

Our service is run by qualified teachers, who manage and maintain the high quality of every learner’s development programme. Our tutors are at the heart of the operation, delivering these programmes straight to learners. We work hard to create a supportive and collaborative working environment for our tutors, which we’re proud to say has led to exceptionally high staff retention rates.

The Role

You’ll use your relevant knowledge and experience to deliver bespoke 1:1 sessions to our learners with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.

Sessions will always take place during the day, according to fixed timetables, either in a learner’s home or local community venue. More specifically, you will:

  • Use creative, engaging approaches tailored to each learner’s interests, with the purpose of supporting them to re‑engage with education and consider their futures.
  • Build positive relationships and foster confidence in our learners.

If you are a tutor, you will also:

  • Teach Maths and English for KS1/KS2, plus additional subjects based on your specialism.

If you are a mentor, you will also:

  • Deliver ASDAN Life skills programmes to support the development of confidence and independence in our learners.
