Full Time Class Teacher – Key Stage 3 Class Teacher
Salary: Main Pay Scale 1 – 6 + SEN Allowance (£32,916‑£45,342) + SEN £2,787
Sutherland House School is a non‑maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3‑19. The school prides itself on creating personalised learning opportunities with a vision of reaching potential for each individual pupil. Responsibilities
- Deliver highly person-centred education, supporting young people to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for their next steps beyond school.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities for Key Stage 3 pupils within a specialised autism environment.
- Engage with a wide range of professionals, including therapists, to ensure all pupils reach their full potential.
- Support and lead a team, working towards person-centred planning for each individual pupil.
Qualifications
- Desirable: Previous experience with supporting autistic pupils or teaching in an additional needs environment.
- Full training and support will be provided for successful applicants.
