About the role:
A warm and community-focused primary school on the outskirts of Peterborough is looking for a committed and energetic Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break. This full-time position offers the chance to work closely with class teachers across the primary age range, supporting learning in both whole-class settings and through targeted small-group or one-to-one work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
- Support individual pupils and small groups to consolidate learning
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning activities
- Provide additional support for pupils with varying needs to ensure full inclusion
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school expectations
- Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and encouraging learning environment
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development throughout the school day
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Two recent references
- A calm, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different pupils
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA) are beneficial but not essential
