Behaviour Support Leader – The Wren School
Location: Reading
37 hours per week (08:15am to 4:15pm), term-time only, plus 5 Inset days – Permanent – Starting from September 2026
The Behaviour Support Leader oversees both our responsive and planned behaviour intervention provision, ensuring high-quality support for students who require additional guidance and support to succeed.
This is a student-facing role, focused on building positive relationships, supporting students, and helping them engage positively within school life.
They work closely with families, teaching staff, and pastoral teams, coordinating and delivering interventions and undertaking associated administrative responsibilities to ensure effective communication, monitoring and positive outcomes.
As a visible presence around the school, they model the school’s values, and play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture.
Successful candidates will join an experienced and supportive team who are passionate about helping young people thrive, both academically and personally, through leading and delivering targeted student interventions.
These roles provide excellent opportunities for professional growth and development while making a meaningful difference to students’ wellbeing, engagement, and success within our school community.
The Wren is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We are committed to equality of opportunity, promoting and celebrating the diversity of staff, students and the community we work with. The Wren School values everyone’s contribution and ensures all have the opportunity to realise their potential in line with our #BetterNeverStops ethos.
We welcome applications from talented people from all sections of the community who share our values and belief that all students, regardless of background, deserve a world-class education.
