About the Role
We are recruiting passionate Early Career Teachers to work on a supply basis in a range of primary and secondary schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, develop your teaching practice, and experience different school environments.
As a supply teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support pupils’ academic progress while adapting to different classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across your subject or key stage
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Quickly build rapport with students and staff
Skills & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability across different school settings
- A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for teaching
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
