DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) – St Helens

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a Design & Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in St Helens from September until Christmas 2026.

Staff work collaboratively to ensure students develop confidence, resilience and the technical skills required for future education and employment. The Design & Technology department is well‑reseourced and plays an important role within the wider curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Must‑qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching Design & Technology
• Specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design
• Be confident delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
• Be committed to high-quality teaching and learning

Benefits & terms

• Start date: September2026
• Fixed‑term contract until Christmas2026
• Pay: £168.80 – £232.56 per day, depending on experience and scale point
