Position Overview
We are looking to appoint two dedicated schedulers – one with a technical bias and the other with a costume bias – to work closely together and with the Technical Production & Costume (TPC) senior management. The role involves efficiently and accurately scheduling staff working on productions at the Royal Opera House.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce approved staff schedules to a high level of accuracy in Diese (our current scheduling system).• Respond promptly to changes and keep all schedules up to date.• Communicate all changes in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders.• Work closely with TPC senior management and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- A good understanding of the requirements of a busy theatre environment and how teams work together
- Accurate and extreme close attention to detail
- A systematic approach to managing tasks and priorities and working to strict deadlines
- The ability to work calmly under pressure, take initiative, and work unsupervised
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organisational skills and an analytical approach to problem solving
- Knowledge of Unsere scheduling system (Diese) is not essential but highly regarded, as is the capacity to learn and adapt quickly
