Job Overview

Operational Trainer ensures delivery of induction and development training across five care homes or hospitals in a designated region. This home‑based role requires travel within the region and focuses on guaranteeing that all staff deliver person‑centred, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver induction and development training aligned with Barchester objectives.
  • Plan and publish training calendars and maintain employee training files.
  • Observe workplace practice, arrange induction paperwork, and assign a buddy before a new employee starts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to new staff members.
  • Attend external meetings and conferences as required.
  • Promote learning and development opportunities and work with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans.

Qualifications

  • C&G 7300 (or equivalent) or Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Minimum 2 years of training experience in the social care sector.
  • Full knowledge of care sector legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
