Our client is a leading dairy manufacturer, supplying high-quality milk and dairy products to major retailers across the UK and Ireland. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and food safety, they are now seeking a Process Engineer to join their growing operations team.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety within a fast-paced dairy environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Design, monitor, and improve dairy processing operations (pasteurisation, homogenisation, separation, and packaging)
*Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
*Troubleshoot production issues and provide practical engineering solutions
*Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, hygiene regulations, etc.)
*Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams
*Support commissioning and optimisation of new equipment and production lines
*Analyse performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
*Contribute to sustainability goals (energy, water, and waste reduction)
Requirements
*Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
*Experience in food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing (highly desirable)
*Strong understanding of process systems (heat transfer, fluid flow, CIP systems)
*Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
