Park Recruit are delighted to be partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing engineering and industrial services organisation in the recruitment of an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to lead and champion health and safety across office, workshop and project site operations.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and maintaining effective health and safety systems while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business. This is a hands-on position that combines compliance, training, auditing and operational support across multiple sites and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for all Health & Safety matters across the business.
Develop, implement and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and management systems.
Lead the creation and review of risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.
Coordinate statutory inspections, training programmes, emergency preparedness activities and compliance requirements.
Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Support project teams and provide Health & Safety guidance on customer sites when required.
Maintain training records, competence matrices and certification compliance.
Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and employee engagement initiatives.
Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior management.
Essential Criteria:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) or higher qualification.
Proven experience managing Health & Safety within operational, industrial, engineering or construction environments.
Experience developing risk assessments, RAMS and safety documentation.
Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with operational teams and site personnel.
Full willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
