Job Description:

Park Recruit are delighted to be partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing engineering and industrial services organisation in the recruitment of an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to lead and champion health and safety across office, workshop and project site operations.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and maintaining effective health and safety systems while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business. This is a hands-on position that combines compliance, training, auditing and operational support across multiple sites and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Health & Safety matters across the business.

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and management systems.

  • Lead the creation and review of risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.

  • Coordinate statutory inspections, training programmes, emergency preparedness activities and compliance requirements.

  • Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

  • Support project teams and provide Health & Safety guidance on customer sites when required.

  • Maintain training records, competence matrices and certification compliance.

  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior management.

Essential Criteria:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) or higher qualification.

  • Proven experience managing Health & Safety within operational, industrial, engineering or construction environments.

  • Experience developing risk assessments, RAMS and safety documentation.

  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with operational teams and site personnel.

  • Full willingness to travel to project sites as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
