Quantity Surveyor in Manchester, Greater Manchester

PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be project and site based, with their office based in Manchester and projects across the North West.

Responsibilities

• Provision of accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels to inform Group reporting.
• Cost management and project forecasting.
• Drafting and updating a monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
• Responsibility for subcontract procurement, negotiation and financial accounting.
• Effectively manage contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC forms.
• Ability to interrogate and challenge records, reports and cost data.
• Mitigate commercial risk, identify and realise commercial opportunities.
• Work with the wider project team to forecast predicted expenditure and cash recovery to ensure that both are in line with business unit expectations.

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course.
• NEC Contract experience is Essential.
• Demonstrable experience in monthly forecasting and cost analysis.
• Previous experience in the construction industry.
• Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driving licence.

• Salary – £45,000 – £60,000 DOE.
