Meraki Talent is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Operations to lead and scale the operational infrastructure of a fast-growing multi-asset brokerage offering FX, CFDs, and digital asset trading services to institutional and retail clients globally.
The successful candidate will bring deep operational expertise from a regulated brokerage environment and a strong understanding of the end-to-end trading lifecycle across FX, CFDs, and digital assets.
The role can be based in either London or Dubai and will work closely with the executive leadership team, compliance, risk, finance, technology, and commercial functions.
Th Role
As Head of Operations you will be part of the senior leadership team responsible for overseeing the firm’s operational framework, ensuring seamless day-to-day business performance, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing processes, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee all operational activities across the brokerage business.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, scalability, and profitability.
- Establish and maintain robust operational controls, policies, and procedures.
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Trading Operations & Brokerage Infrastructure
- Manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of FX, CFD, and digital asset products.
- Oversee trade support, settlements, reconciliations, liquidity provider relationships, and operational risk controls.
- Ensure the efficient functioning of trading platforms, client onboarding workflows, funding processes, and post-trade operations.
- Collaborate with technology teams to improve operational efficiency and platform performance.
Regulatory & Risk Management
- Ensure operational processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to implement effective control frameworks.
- Monitor operational risks and establish mitigation strategies to safeguard the business and clients.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Support the delivery of a best-in-class client experience through efficient operational processes.
- Work closely with institutional and retail business teams to address operational challenges and support growth objectives.
- Manage relationships with key external vendors, service providers, banking partners, custodians, and liquidity providers.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing operations teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear performance metrics and operational KPIs.
Strategic Initiatives
- Support new product launches, market expansion initiatives, and regulatory licensing projects.
- Participate in executive-level decision-making and contribute to the firm’s strategic roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational resilience and create scalable infrastructure for future growth.
The Person
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience within a regulated financial services environment.
- Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within a multi-asset brokerage.
- Direct experience supporting products across FX, CFDs, and Digital Assets / Cryptocurrencies
- Strong understanding of the full brokerage operational lifecycle, including onboarding, trading operations, settlements, reconciliations, payments, and client servicing.
- Experience working with liquidity providers, prime brokers, custodians, banking partners, and trading technology vendors.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling operational functions within a high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of operational risk management and regulatory expectations in major financial jurisdictions.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
