Regional Support Manager | Edinburgh, Midlothian & Lothian

£70,000 + 20% discretionary bonus, pension, generous holiday allowance, private medical insurance.

About the Role

Supporting a portfolio of 10 care homes across Edinburgh, Midlothian and Lothian, you will shape performance, strengthen quality and support growth across a mix of high‑performing and developing services.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will act as a trusted partner to Home Managers, providing hands‑on support, strategic guidance and leadership across care, compliance and commercial performance, leading from the front and driving lasting improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop Home Managers and senior teams, ensuring consistently high standards of care and performance.
  • Drive performance improvement and turnaround where required, supporting quality, compliance and operational standards.
  • Oversee and optimise occupancy, financial performance and sustainable growth across the region.
  • Embed a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement, building strong relationships with residents, families, regulators and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance on clinical governance, compliance and commercial decisions, balancing resident wellbeing with long‑term organisational success.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced, credible leader with a proven track record as a Registered Home Manager (RGN/RMN preferred).
  • Solid understanding of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience improving quality, stabilising services and delivering measurable results.
  • Demonstrated coaching, challenging and inspiring teams to high performance.
  • Strong commercial awareness, proven ability to manage budgets, drive occupancy and deliver operational performance.
  • Values‑led, decisive approach with the judgement to step in and lead from the front when needed.
