Heritage Project Manager
Windsor Castle | London | c£60k-£70k+ package
Most Project Managers spend their time worrying about protecting finishes. This role starts with protecting a 600‑year‑old Italian ceiling painting while working on re‑roofing directly above it.
We are a specialist conservation contractor delivering works at Windsor Castle and other historic buildings. Initially, you will spend three days a week at Windsor overseeing roofing and conservation works. The other two days will be spent across London projects, including heritage and high‑end refurbishment schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee roofing and conservation works at Windsor Castle.
- Manage on‑site activities across multiple heritage and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure compliance with conservation requirements and protect historic fabric.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to preserve centuries of history.
Requirements:
- Background as a carpenter or practical Project Manager with experience in heritage works.
- Strong common sense, heritage exposure, and appreciation for detailed preservation.
- Experience working on listed buildings and comfort with preserving historic materials.
- Ability to work independently and within a dedicated heritage team.
Long‑term goal: Build a dedicated heritage team around this division.
