The Role
A UK-leading third-party logistics and distribution business based in the Andover area is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Administrator / Traffic Clerk to provide compliant and efficient administrative support to its busy transport operation.

Working as part of an experienced transport team, you’ll play a key role in supporting fleet compliance, driver administration, and the smooth running of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Supervisors and management team with driver hours and tachograph compliance
- Ensure customer requirements are met on a day-to-day basis while liaising with suppliers including subcontractors, agencies, and fuel providers
- Participate in daily driver debriefs and assist with operational administration
- Ensure all driver legislation is adhered to and appropriate action is taken to remedy any defects identified
- Maintain accurate fleet records, including daily checks, defect reporting, servicing schedules, tail lift inspections, tachograph calibrations, and MOT records
- Complete and maintain tacho records for both vehicles and drivers
- Monitor tachograph infringements and ensure adherence to company fleet policies
- Assist with the compilation and administration of Health & Safety documentation, including SSoWs, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Talks, LOLER, PUWER, and RIDDOR requirements
- Maintain accurate transport records and support the wider transport function with general administrative duties
Key Requirements
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Transport Administrator, Traffic Administrator, Traffic Clerk, Fleet Administrator, or Transport Clerk role
- Good general understanding of transport operations and fleet administration
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
Highly Desirable
- Experience working within an O-Licence compliant environment
- Knowledge of driver hours, tachograph legislation, and fleet compliance procedures
