Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer
Location: CF45
Salary: £45,500
Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Pattern (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am)
A well-established manufacturing business is currently seeking a Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team at its site based in Mountain Ash.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with strong maintenance experience to join a fast-paced and highly automated production environment.
The Role
Working as part of the engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production machinery and ensuring equipment reliability across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs on production machinery
- Supporting electrical maintenance when required
- Minimising downtime and improving machine performance
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering qualification
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Multi‑skilled engineering experience advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working a rotating 3 shift pattern
