It is an exciting time to join our Trade team at Titan, we have an ambitious growth plan and redefined strategy but also want to keep the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a true ambassador to be out in the field to ensure Titan Travel is our travel agent partners first choice to deliver on our mission of being the most trusted touring partner.
Saga Travel Group (UK) Limited acquired Titan Travel in 2009, and while they are now part of the same group, Titan Travel continues to operate as a separate, though integrated, entity within the Saga Travel business.
Youll maintain a balanced approach to the role, spending approximately 50% of your time on the road, leading from the front to ensure the Business Development Managers are motivated and supported. The remaining 50% of your time will be focused on planning, review and strategic delivery
Role Responsibility
As our Field Sales & Business Development Sales Manager you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and owning the field team strategy, ensuring the team has the tools they need to be successful, ensuring the right amount of time is dedicated to strategic accounts
Other accountabilities will include:
Acting as an ambassador for Titan Travel and demonstrate an exceptional level of product / sector knowledge ensuring the brand has an extremely high profile.
Leading the field team of three Business Development Managers.
Working closely with the wider sales team to deliver our stretching revenue goals.
Ensuring the trade sales team is well supported and has the tools they need to be successful.
Creating, implementing and owning the field team strategy, ensuring the team have the tools they need to be successful to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
Collaborating with the trade contact centre team to ensure a timely response to all trade enquiries.
Collaborating with operations team to review outstanding cases and ensure we have plans in place to effctively communicate with the travel agent partner.
Identifying trade partner training needs and create a plan to address them.
Owning the relationship of key training partners such as TIPTO, ATAS & Travel Gossip to enable our roadshow strategy.
Driving participation in Titan Rewards to drive upsell and focus on business priorities.
Helping develop training plans alongside the Sales Managers and Key Account Manager.
Working with the Head of Trade Sales to prepare and host successful customer educational trips
Maximising engagement with TITANium & trade communication sign-ups.
Identifying and pursue new business opportunities including targeting new agents and partners who can expand Titan Travels reach
Developing trade campaign engagement plans including incentives.
Monitoring and report on competitor activity in the touring and wider holiday sectors to ensure Titan Travel remains at the forefront of our sector.
Analysing field teams weekly, monthly and quarterly account activity and performance, spotting opportunities to improve performance and put in place tangible, measurable action plans that drive results.
Ensuring that agreed sales and marketing activity is implemented, tracked and monitored to assess ROI
The Ideal Candidate
As our new Field Sales & Business Development Sales Manager you will have proven experience in a Travel Trade Sales role. You will have exceptional people management skills, particularly in a flexible/hybrid working environment
Other skills and experience required include:
Experience in defining strategy
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly form relationships
Sales driven and commercially savvy
An eye for identifying commercial opportunities, and the skills to translate this into results
Ability to partner with other stakeholders and challenge where necessary
Innovative thinker constantly looking to improve ways of working
Engaging and inspiring individual, influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Cost focused, with ability to manage multiple budget line
