The Technical Sales Manager UK will drive sales growth in UK for all BakerPortfolioproducts. This role is responsible for direct customer interactions and sales for the Grow product lines as well as coordinating the existing sales channels of SafeGard. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Sales Manager (Grow product lines), Director of Business development, International Sales Manager EMEA (SafeGARD product lines) and other commercial colleagues from each of our portfolio companies in order to establish and execute specific goals for the respective product portfolios in UK.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- UK sales responsibilities – Grow products
- Achieving sales and growth targets within UK
- Developing and executing a UK-wide sales plan targeting key customer segments (hospitals, academic and research institutes, industrial and pharma customers)
- Developing pipeline and CRM system for key customer segments
- Answering internal and external customer inquiries through timely and accurate communication
- Providing expert product guidance on the product portfolio, aligning solutions with customer applications
- Preparing and managing quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policy
- Delivering accurate sales forecasts and market insights from UK to the Global Sales Manager
- Providing market sensing mechanisms and identifying new opportunities and emerging markets
- Attending industry trade events, exhibits, scientific conferences and customer workshops/seminars in UK and elsewhere in Europe where necessary
- Supporting Global Sales Manager with B2B channel management as required
- Completing other work, as assigned
- Maintaining and managing existing channel relationships within UK
- Monitoring distributor performance and implement improvement plans as a part of the SafeGARD commercial team where necessary
- Working with distributors to expand into new segments
- Providing product training and support for the channel partners
- Working directly / in close cooperation with SafeGARD specialists on special projects
- UK Technical support
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys, installations and commissioning on an assigned geographical region
- Conduct standard annual service visits on an assigned geographical region
- Collaborate with technical service team and engineering team for customer satisfaction
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
- Development and ownership of UK B2C business plan for Baker products measured by agreed annual KPI’s
- Responsible for attaining the UK sales targets
- Annual sales and pipeline growth within the region
- Customer engagement through number of customer visits, presentations, demonstrations and other interactions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- MSc Master’s Degree
- 5 years’ experience in B2C sales and B2B sales management
- Scientific credibility paired with strategic sales acumen
