About Enough Energy

At Enough Energy, we make battery systems more powerful, flexible and lightweight. We do this by leveraging advanced software control to eliminate restrictive and high-cost power conversion hardware. We are bringing this innovation into the everyday world with a vision to boost energy independence and reduce reliance on power grids.

We’ve been developing a pioneering battery-boosted EV charging system that delivers rapid vehicle turnaround wherever it is needed, even where grid power is limited. We’re looking for high performers to join our team who are driven towards building and delivering new technologies to solve major energy problems.

About the Role

To support our rapid growth and engineering milestones, we are looking for a proactive, highly organised, and commercially sharp Technical Procurement Officer to join our team in Witney.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end procurement and inventory lifecycle. You will be the vital link ensuring our engineers have the components they need for R&D and product builds, whilst driving value for money and ensuring we meet our cost targets.

This is an incredible opportunity for an autonomous supply chain professional who wants to build resilience into our supply network and establish a robust, cost-effective procurement function from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will span across strategic procurement, risk mitigation, partner management, and internal stock control:

  • End-to-End Procurement & Cost Control: Source, negotiate, and purchase all company materials (R&D components, production-line parts, and general office stock). Ensure high value for money on every purchase and keeping within set budgets.
  • BOM Target Management: Interrogate and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), working closely with the engineering team to identify cost-reduction opportunities and ensure product builds meet targeted financial margins.
  • Supply Chain Resilience: Proactively de-risk and shore up our supply chain. This includes identifying alternative components, vetting backup suppliers, and establishing dual-sourcing strategies to guarantee continuity of supply.
  • Supplier & Partner Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, on-board new vendors, monitor lead times, and negotiate favourable commercial terms to optimise both costs and delivery schedules.
  • Manufacturing & Assembly Interface: Act as the primary operational point of contact for external manufacturing and assembly partners. Coordinate the timely delivery of parts to match production schedules and resolve any supply bottlenecks swiftly.
  • Stock & Inventory Management: Oversee stores and inventory control at our Witney site. Track stock levels, manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, and implement efficient organisational systems to prevent shortages or over-stocking.

About You

We are looking for an independent, commercially minded professional who can hit the ground running and confidently manage this business function from day one.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous years of experience in a procurement, buyer, or supply chain management role specifically within an engineering or manufacturing company.
  • An engineering or technical background: (e.g. a degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on workshop experience). You know your way around an engineering workshop. You understand what different electrical and mechanical components are (e.g. from specific fasteners to machined parts) and can confidently source the exact items required, or appropriate equivalents where acceptable.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships, tracking lead times, and handling logistics and purchase orders.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a track record of negotiating costs and a natural instinct for seeking out value for money.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with a keen eye for detail – you will be managing a diverse range of parts, components, and part numbers.
  • The capability to take immediate, full ownership of the purchasing function with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work full-time, in-person at our Witney site to manage physical stock and collaborate directly with the team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working within a hardware startup or a fast-paced SME where lean operations are key.
  • Experience utilising ERP/MRP systems or advanced inventory management tools.
