About the role
This is agency‑driving work with regular ad‑hoc shifts available. The work involves delivering palletised goods across the South West using curtain‑sided vehicles.
Duties
- Driving HGV Class 1 C+E or HGV Class 2 Category C vehicles
- Delivering palletised goods across the South West
- Using curtain‑sider vehicles
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring loads are secured and transported safely
- Completing delivery paperwork and transport documentation
- Providing a professional service during deliveries and collections
- Following transport legislation, company procedures and health and safety requirements
What we are looking for
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 C+E licence or HGV Class 2 Category C licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum one year of HGV driving experience
- A professional, reliable and safety‑focused approach
- Flexibility around agency driving assignments
Class 1 applicants must be happy to drive Class 2 vehicles when needed.
Experience with palletised goods, curtain‑sider vehicles, tail lifts or ADR would be useful, but such experience is not essential unless required for a specific assignment.
Pay and hours
- £17.37 to £18.49 per hour PAYE Advance
- Other PAYE models are available
- Weekly pay
- Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours paid per shift
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 start
- Flexible part‑time and ad‑hoc work
- Additional full‑time hours may be available during busier periods
- Ongoing work opportunities available for suitable drivers
