Community Care Assistant
Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible.
We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever-expanding team. We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to a wide range of service users, including children and the elderly.

Key Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid, comprehensive training is provided by our in-house training department.
Pay & Working Hours
£13.50 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 per hour on weekends. Working hours are between 7am and 10pm.
Shift patterns: 7am‑2pm & 4pm‑10pm, including alternate weekends.
Contract types: Zero hour, part-time and full contracts up to 40 hrs per week. Pay rates: £13.35 per hour weekdays and £15.00 per hour weekends.
Responsibilities
- Providing support and care for service users within their own homes
- Assisting with personal care
- Preparing meals and handling domestic tasks
- Administering medication
- Supporting service users with hobbies and social interests
