Job Title: Night Support Officer
Location: The Beacon, Grantham
Working Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off shift, equal to 33.25 hours per week.
Salary: £24,796 – £25,989 (Pro Rata Pay Award Pending)

We are looking for Night Support Officers to join our team at The Beacon Children’s Home in Grantham. The role involves working a shift pattern of 4 nights on and 4 nights off, equivalent to 33.25 hours per week.
About the Role
As a Night Support Officer, you will encourage children aged 5 to 17 to sleep, rest or remain peaceful and relaxed. You will engage and communicate effectively with them, support their needs during the night, safeguard them and ensure their welfare needs are met. You will also undertake general housekeeping duties throughout the home.
You will be part of a small team providing 24-hour care, supported by a multi-skilled team of carers.
Our NSO’s also receive
- An enhancement of 0.33 for all hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
- A consistent night shift schedule allowing daytime flexibility.
About You
Previous experience in a care profession is not essential, but a good understanding of caring for children is required. You should be compassionate, have excellent communication skills, maintain a calm professional demeanor, possess basic IT skills, adapt to different situations and be motivated to provide the best care for children at all times.
You will be required to complete a Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma.
