Job Overview

My client, a large international manufacturing company, has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Operator working an early and back shift at their Perth location.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm, 40 hours per week. Temporary assignment, 6 months with possibility for extension. Pay rate £15.84 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Follow manufacturing SOPs.
  • Complete production floor paperwork, including SOPs as required by the Quality System.
  • Record information such as weight, time and date packaged.
  • Start, stop and supervise speed of conveyors.
  • Assist with validation of equipment.
  • Read and understand work orders to set up material on the production line, verify and count amounts required per work order.
  • Inspect material, products and containers at each setup of the production process.
  • Insert or pour product into containers or fill from spout or chute.
  • Obtain and sort product.
  • Wrap protective material around product.
  • Weigh containers and adjust quantity.
  • Close and seal containers.
  • Label containers, container tags, or products.
  • Sort bundles or filled containers.
  • Pack special arrangements or selections of product.
  • Inspect material, products and container configurations at each setup of the packaging process.
  • Line clearance: responsible for reconciliation and disposal of materials related to the job.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, glassware or equipment as needed.
  • Follow ISO/cGMP Quality System Regulations with focus on SOP completion accuracy, product quality, and housekeeping activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Manufacturing experience highly beneficial.
  • Experience working in a clean room is a benefit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel beneficial.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to new schedules due to priority changes.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other team members in a team‑based environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines.

Candidates must be able to work constant nights.
