Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Teach Mathematics from KS3 to KS4 (GCSE Level) delivering lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of subject content and effective pedagogy, including the use of appropriate resources and strategies.
- Maintain a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment with high standards of display and presentation of students’ work.
- Actively contribute to the development of a dynamic Mathematics curriculum and enrichment opportunities.
- Uphold excellent behaviour management in line with the school’s values and policies.
Assessment and Reporting
- Monitor, assess, and report on students’ academic progress, identifying needs and tailoring support accordingly.
- Mark work constructively and regularly, providing feedback that helps students make sustained progress.
- Keep detailed records of student attainment, effort, and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including learning support and pastoral staff, to provide holistic support to students.
Whole School Contribution
- Promote and uphold the school’s Islamic ethos, vision and values.
- Act as a role model in personal conduct, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Participate in school events, open days, CPD sessions, and staff development programmes.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of students at all times.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including supporting extra‑curricular activities, academic interventions and student wellbeing initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or international equivalent
- Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and GCSE level
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum design
- A passion for Mathematics and enthusiasm for inspiring students
