The Role

• Lead all planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
• Ensure maximum equipment reliability and production uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
• Manage engineering contractors and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintain spare parts stock and engineering documentation.
• Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with health, safety, and food manufacturing standards.
• Provide guidance and direction to a Site Support Technician supporting the engineering function.

About You

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Maintenance Engineer position within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working independently and managing engineering priorities.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation within manufacturing.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent) are desirable.
