Maintenance Engineer

The Role
- Lead all planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site.
- Ensure maximum equipment reliability and production uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
- Manage engineering contractors and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain spare parts stock and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with health, safety, and food manufacturing standards.
- Provide guidance and direction to a Site Support Technician supporting the engineering function.
About You
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Maintenance Engineer position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working independently and managing engineering priorities.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation within manufacturing.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent) are desirable.
