Electrical Design Engineer

Manufacturing Futures are supporting an expanding engineering business in South Yorkshire in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a dynamic R&D and system integration team with an excellent reputation for delivering complex control & automation systems. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will work on a range of standard and bespoke automated systems, gaining exposure to electrical design, control systems and project delivery.

Electrical Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities Automation / Electrical / Controls

• Design electrical control systems for automated machinery
• Produce electrical schematics and system drawings using CAD software
• Create BOMs and supporting technical documentation
• Assist with testing and commissioning of the bespoke systems
• Assist with technical queries and problem–solving within the engineering team
• Investigate and evaluate new automation technologies

Electrical Design Engineer Skills & Experience Automation / Electrical / Controls

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Experience or exposure to mainstream PLC s and control systems
• Proficient with Eplan or similar electrical CAD software
• Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or automation–related role
• Experience in on‑site installation and commissioning
• Experience withing ATEX certification would be a major bonus
• A clean UK Driving Licence
