Your role in the team
The Product Engineer Lead Consultant on the CICD Team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of software delivery at Allstate. This senior role leads the design and development of innovative self‑service tools and automated processes that enable developers to efficiently and securely navigate the software development lifecycle. As a champion of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and DevOps principles, you will drive agile software delivery practices across a wide range of technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain infrastructure and configurations for CI/CD tools with a strong emphasis on automation and scalability.
- Develop scripts and automation to enhance CI/CD pipelines, including product evaluations and demo environments.
- Define and enforce standards for build artifact management, including automated builds and security/performance reporting.
- Lead onboarding efforts for development teams onto CI/CD tool stacks, ensuring smooth adoption and integration.
- Monitor and resolve issues across deployment layers (hardware, OS, network, application).
- Act as a strategic advisor and advocate for CI/CD and DevOps practices across the organization.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve developer experience and delivery pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team’s technical capabilities.
Essential Skills

- 5 or more years of experience managing and supporting CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub CoPilot and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
- Experience with designing and implementing GitHub Actions workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and agile methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not include direct supervisory duties but may involve mentoring and technical leadership. On‑call rota requirement applies.
