Commercial Account Executive

Covering the Sheffield to Peterborough and North Norfolk patch, home-based but required to visit the Head office at Rubery at least once a month.

Salary £65-70,000 per annum plus car allowance and bonus.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Insurance professional to join a growing and ambitious insurance business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing a varied portfolio of commercial clients, and delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing existing client relationships, supporting new business activity, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the commercial division.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of commercial and mid‑market clients.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and understanding their evolving insurance requirements.
  • Delivering high levels of service and tailored insurance solutions.
  • Supporting new business opportunities and contributing to business growth.
  • Working closely with internal service teams to ensure efficient onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Supporting the development and management of affinity partnerships.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurer partners.
  • Providing technical and operational support to colleagues where required.
  • Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Commercial Insurance.
  • Proven experience managing a commercial book of business.
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a sales and customer-focused environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Acturis.
  • Progress towards CII qualifications.
