Position Overview
Do you want to be a voice for change? If so, join our Board as a Non-Executive Board Member and help shape change at NCHA.
Responsibilities
- Have current or very recent experience within a regulated, property-based Adult Social Care organisation (e.g., supported living or care home services) in roles such as Quality Lead, Registered Manager, Commissioner, Inspector, or similar.
- Attend in‑person Board meetings and an annual strategic awayday.
- Serve on one of NCHA’s separate committees.
- Commit to approximately 12 meetings per year plus additional time reviewing documents.
- Participate in setting strategic aims and making key decisions about future development.
- Provide entrepreneurial leadership and oversight across the NCHA Group and support the Chief Executive and executive management team.
- Accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Board Membership, including meeting the fit‑and‑proper persons test under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated, property‑based Adult Social Care organisation.
- Previous Board experience or a specialism in a regulated property‑based Adult Social Care organisation.
- Links to the East Midlands and a passion for housing and social care.
- Enthusiastic team player who shares NCHA’s CLEAR values.
