We’re recruiting for Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.
Our Class 1 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions ad handballing product at some of the delivery points.
Rotating shift pattern – Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days x 9.6 hours = 48 hours
Start Times: 10:00 – 13:00
The safe delivery of stock to our 198 cash and carry stores
Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery
That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift
Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team
Class 1 Licence Holder
Driver CPC Holder
Ability to deliver excellent customer service
Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential
Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice)
You must hold a valid C+E Licence with experienced preferred driving a class 1 vehicle but not essential
All applicants must be CPC qualified to be considered for this role
Applicants will not be considered if they have more than 6 points on their licence,’Careless Driving’, prosecution for mobile phone use or drink driving or have failed to comply with ‘Construction of Use’.
