We’re looking for a dedicated Prison Link Worker to join our Dependency and Recovery Service, helping men transition successfully from custody into the community. This is a rewarding frontline role where you’ll make a real difference by improving engagement with treatment, reducing reoffending, and supporting recovery journeys.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting individuals before release, through the gate, and into the community
- Building strong relationships with prison substance misuse teams and partner agencies
- Providing enhanced support to individuals at risk of disengaging from services
- Accompanying clients to key appointments including probation and substance misuse services
- Identifying and managing risks around release, including treatment drop-out and overdose prevention
- Completing assessments, action plans, and maintaining accurate case records
- Motivating and empowering people to engage with statutory and voluntary support services
About You
You’ll be confident working independently within prison settings while managing a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and individuals on community orders. You’ll have excellent relationship-building skills, a person-centred approach, and a passion for supporting recovery and rehabilitation.
