This role involves the day-to-day management of a 54-bed residential service across 12 houses, supporting between 1 and 7 residents in each home. The serviceoperatesin line with the Residential Care Home Regulations (Northern Ireland 2005), DHSSPSminimumstandards, andorganisationalquality systems. Salary: Adult Residential Manager Band – £54,050 – £56,278 per annum
Hours ofWork: 40 hours per week
Length ofContract: Permanent
Essential Criteria –Upon taking up appointed role, the successful candidate willbe requiredto meet the following:
Eligible for registration with RQIA as per DHSSPSminimumstandards for Residential Care Home Registered Manager i.e.A Professional Social Work Qualification
OR
Level 5 Diploma (QCF5) in Leadership for Health and Social Care services (this must include Adult Residential Management, for managing a residential service);
OR
other relevant Diploma/Degree/Post-Graduate qualification in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care (which must include Adult Residential Management)
Registered with NISCC or NMC
Minimum of 5 years experience in the provision/co-ordination of residential, training or support services for individuals with learning disabilities or other vulnerable groups, 2 years of which should have been at a deputymanagerslevel or equivalent.
The ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of acting, deputising as registered manager of a registered service.
Experience as a Safeguarding Champion with adults
Knowledge of issuespertaining tothe service user group of adults or children with learning difficulties and complex medical and developmental difficulties.
